When i look at this map I find it very busy and hard to understand. I feel like there's too many words and symbols. The colors are very straightforward and show the different treaty cessions areas which is good. Using the bright red color for modern tribal lands really helps those areas stand out well. The font in the map and the legends could be a little bigger to make it easier to read. The two legends should also have the same font size. The legend in the bottom left has bigger font than the other one. The map seems pretty well balanced with the map in the middle, the two legends on either side, and the title centered on the top. To improve this map I would increase the scale of it so the words going in the states districts are completely in it and don't overlap into another district. This would make the map much easier to read.
